Braulio received his Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences and Caribbean Studies from the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras Campus. He later obtained his Juris Doctor from the Inter-American University of Puerto Rico, School of Law. During his time as a student, he had the opportunity to participate in the university’s overseas program and spent a summer studying law at the University of Padua in Italy and the Complutense University of Madrid in Spain. During his final semester as a student, he interned in the Puerto Rico Film Commission, a greatly rewarding experience for him as a proponent and lover of film. Soon after graduating, he began working as a provider of legal education as a part of La Academia para la Excelencia Organizacional, where he worked in the administration and organization of educational courses for the required continuous legal education of lawyers in Puerto Rico. After dabbling in the world of legal education, he began working side by side with judges in the Puerto Rico Court of Appeals as a judicial law clerk. There, he conducted research, analysis, and contributed by drafting and advising on judicial opinions relating to cases that covered all aspects of the law, be it civil law or criminal law. Before joining the firm, Braulio took part in the Global Competitive Leadership Program from Georgetown University, in Washington DC. This was a program composed of young professionals from all over Latin America that were specifically selected to further develop and refine their leadership and teamwork skills. This experience provided him with a more global perspective and vision of Puerto Rico’s position in Latin America and the United States. It served as motivation for him to find new ways to contribute professionally to Puerto Rico.
