Francisco is an avid outdoor sportsman. He has completed several Ironmans and marathons. He participates in annual cycling events and races in Puerto Rico, the US and Europe. Francisco was the first person from Puerto Rico to complete the oldest bicycle race in the world, the Paris-Brest-Paris, 1,200 km race in 87 hours. He has also completed the "Camino de Santiago" on bicycle and has run the Boston, New York, Chicago, and Berlin Marathons. He does a yearly pilgrimage to "Pico Duarte" - the highest mountain in the Caribbean (D.R.) at 10,162 feet. Francisco enjoys golfing, skin diving and fishing.
