Pedro Jiménez concentrates on complex civil, commercial, securities, antitrust and financial litigation in both state and federal courts, as well as in commercial arbitration. He has ample experience in class action litigation, securities arbitration, corporate control litigation, complex construction and contract disputes, distributorship and franchise litigation, and alternate dispute resolution. He has also advised financial institutions on regulatory compliance under the Bank Secrecy Act.
After serving as Senior Law Clerk for the Chief Judge of the United States District Court in Puerto Rico, Mr. Jiménez worked for close to ten years with the firm of Shearman & Sterling in Wall Street, where he concentrated on complex international litigation. Upon his return to Puerto Rico he co-founded the firm of Correa Collazo Herrero Jiménez & Fortuño, where he was head of the Litigation Department. Mr. Jiménez has represented both securities firms and their clients in New York Stock Exchange arbitration, chaired the negotiating team for a multinational corporation in a contentious competitive bidding process for a multibillion-dollar infrastructure operation project, and represented local and international financial institutions in Bank Secrecy Act and internal client investigations. Mr Jiménez-Rodríguez has also represented banks and corporate defendants in class actions and multi-district litigations, represented a national accounting firm in corporate and government auditing disputes, and has advised corporate clients and foreign government-owned entities in international litigation.

Mr. Jiménez has appeared as guest speaker in various seminars hosted by the Puerto Rico Bankers Association and other financial organizations regarding regulatory compliance under the Bank Secrecy Act and anti-money laundering regulations, He has also been a speaker in training seminars for a "big-four" auditing firm regarding the adoption of practices to minimize potential liability and prevent litigation.
